Lead Integration/EDI Architect

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, modernization, and evolution of enterprise EDI/B2B integration platforms, supporting Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay workflows. You will balance current-state stability with forward-looking architecture, driving automation and AI-enabled improvements. You’ll translate business needs into secure, high-performing integration designs and communicate across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. This position combines hands-on SME work with strategic influence to advance scalable, resilient systems and enterprise standards. Compensation / Benefits * Define and evolve architecture for enterprise EDI/B2B platforms with modernization and scalability in mind * Translate business objectives into secure, resilient integration designs across connectivity, transformation, and orchestration layers * Provide technical leadership for platform operations to meet KPIs for availability, throughput, and partner experience * Lead resolution of systemic issues and major disruptions in high-volume transaction flows * Drive modernization initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve speed of execution * Enable adoption of API-led and event-driven integration patterns * Serve as hands-on SME for complex EDI/B2B scenarios including onboarding, data exchange, and lifecycle management * Guide engineering on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization for large-scale distributed systems * Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across initiatives * Lead architecture and design reviews ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and operating model * Drive automation and AI-led improvements to enhance observability and intelligent decision-making * Partner with business, product, and external stakeholders to align architecture with customer experience and growth goals * Include vendor exploration and selection for future-state systems Tasks * 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture with focus on enterprise integration and EDI/B2B ecosystems * Proven expertise in designing and operating large-scale, distributed systems for high-volume transaction processing * Hands-on experience across the EDI lifecycle including onboarding, data transformation, connectivity protocols, and transaction orchestration * Ability to balance platform operations with modernization initiatives * Strong understanding of operational excellence: reliability, observability, performance optimization, incident management * Experience leveraging automation and AI capabilities to improve efficiency and scalability * Ability to influence architectural decisions across cross-functional teams without direct authority * Excellent communication to translate technical concepts to business/executive audiences Key requirements * competitive total rewards * base pay plus annual bonus * long-term incentive opportunities * benefits package overview * remote/hybrid flexibility (as applicable) * career growth opportunities
