Job description

Unix/Linux OpenShift GitHub GitHub Actions Harness IBM UrbanCode Deploy (legacy) Aqua Security Coverity PowerShell Python Bash AWS (nice to have)

Work Environment Primarily on-premises infrastructure. Remote until September 14. Hybrid schedule beginning September 14 (3 days per week onsite). Preferred office locations are Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL, with Charlotte, NC also considered.

Interview Process One 60-minute panel interview. Panel consists of DevOps Engineers, Software Engineering Manager, and Scrum Master. Hiring decision made shortly after the interview.

Requirements

We’re looking for a self-driven DevSecOps engineer with deep CI/CD expertise who understands how to build security into every phase of software delivery. The strongest candidates will bring hands-on experience with Harness, GitHub, and PowerShell while demonstrating the ability to adapt to similar tools and technologies. Candidates do not need to match every technology exactly-the hiring manager values strong foundational experience, automation expertise, and the ability to learn quickly., Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps/DevSecOps experience. Strong experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with: Harness (Required) GitHub (Required) GitHub Actions Strong scripting experience with PowerShell. Experience working in Windows and Unix/Linux environments. Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Skills: Experience migrating from IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) to Harness. Experience with OpenShift container platform. Experience with security tools such as Aqua Security (AquaScan), Coverity, or similar code scanning solutions. Python and/or Bash scripting. AWS experience (nice to have). Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies. Experience with automation scripting for testing or deployment processes.

Work Schedule: 3 days onsite starting day 1 in Alabama, Remote until September 14, then Hybrid in ATL and NC (3 days/week onsite)

Note: Candidates are not expected to have every technology listed. The hiring manager is looking for engineers with strong core DevSecOps and CI/CD experience who can quickly adapt to similar technologies. Experience with comparable automation, infrastructure-as-code, or security tools is welcomed.
