Job description

Product Engineering is a unified team responsible for the engineering of Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms. This includes product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, engineering behind personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and ., As a Senior Software Engineer on the Build Tooling Infrastructure team at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology (DEEPT), you will design and develop custom tools and maintain mission-critical infrastructure that enables application teams to deliver software quickly and reliably. Our team manages all aspects of CI tooling for DEET, including version control, CI servers, artifact storage, and cross-environment secrets management. We’re seeking a mid-level engineer with a solid foundation in CI/CD processes and tools and a strong desire to grow and learn.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on CI/CD or DevOps infrastructure \n

  • \n Extensive hands-on experience administering Jenkins, Vault, Github, etc. and developing complex CI/CD pipelines \n

  • \n Proficiency in writing custom build files using Gradle and/or sbt \n

  • \n Strong understanding of Docker and familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS or Kubernetes \n

  • \n Solid programming experience in Python, Groovy, or Java \n

  • \n Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently \n

  • \n Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation \n

  • \n Strong collaboration skills, including experience working effectively with distributed teams \n

  • \n Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n

  • \n Thorough understanding of source control concepts and practical experience with Git, Proven ability to proactively identify and implement improvements in software and tooling
