Job description

  • Operate and maintain Command Destruct mission equipment. This includes, but is not limited to RF transmitters, antenna systems, power amplifiers, data recorders, , signal conditioners, data switches, data networks, servers and workstations
  • Perform daily system verifications per Eastern Range (ER) schedules with supervision
  • Support verifications of launch support systems using instructions and checklists
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures with supervision
  • Perform Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures with supervision
  • Document equipment maintenance using the Air Force Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS)
  • Work with System Maintenance Engineer (SME) preparing various documents required for daily operations, maintenance, and launch support
  • Perform daily operations and launch support activities in accordance with all related operations procedures, instructions, and checklists.
  • Complete system training using Enterprise Qualification Requirements (EQR) within documented time schedules and assist with the training of others to ensure optimal availability of qualified personnel for daily operations, maintenance and launch support
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to the control of government property, job site safety, and security
  • Support company safety culture, assume accountability and responsibility for safe work practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • AS Degree in Electronic Technology, or two-year technical school, equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years as an Instrumentation Operator Repairer or equivalent electronic technician experience related to the systems, subsystems and operations required to maintain Command systems, Instrumentation Systems, or Strategic Weapons Systems
  • Experience reading and understanding block diagrams, assembly drawings, schematics and logic circuitry diagrams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) and frequency counters, preferred
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing failures using standard electronic test equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing failures to the component level
  • Experience performing Test Range or Mission Operations using Command/Destruct, Instrumentation, or Strategic Weapons Systems, preferred
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good ability to write reports
  • Good ability to read and understand schematics, elevation, and assembly drawings
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be reliable in a very dynamic environment
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-orientated environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public
  • Able to work at heights up to 42 feet
  • Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to sustain prolonged periods of standing, kneeling and or repeated stooping
  • Occasional single day and/or overnight travel to the Jonathan Dickinson Missile Tracking Annex (JDMTA) Command in Jupiter, FL
  • The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays as required to support specific project, mission, operations, and/or maintenance requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
