Clariant is a globally focused specialty chemicals company and a leader in creating value through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.We are looking for a driven IT Cyber Security Engineer to join our global Information Technology team, playing a critical role in protecting Clariant’s digital assets, systems, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats.Based in Barcelona, Spain, this operates within a global scope, working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, and senior leadership teams.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and continuously maintain Clariant’s cybersecurity risk management framework and methodologyConduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and infrastructureDefine and track key risk indicators and metrics to measure and communicate risk exposure effectivelyMonitor and evaluate emerging IT risks, including cybersecurity threats, compliance issues, and operational risksEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks including ISF SoGP, ISO **, and NIST CSFDesign and document processes and procedures that strengthen Clariant’s security services portfolioSupport the design and delivery of security awareness training programs tailored to diverse internal audiencesDrive and support phishing simulation campaigns to test and continuously improve employee security awarenessCollaborate with the Cyber Security Operations team on ongoing projects and daily operational tasksProactively research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity technologies, trends, and threat landscapesRequirementsBachelor’s degree or higher in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related fieldMinimum 3-4 years of experience in IT risk management, information security consulting, or a related domainAt least 2 years of hands?on experience in Cyber SecurityWorking knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO **, NIST CSF, and ISF SoGPRelevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) are a strong advantageExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required; Spanish is not mandatory but highly recommended, given the Barcelona-based working environment.Additional languages are a plus.Strong interpersonal and cross?cultural communication skills, including the ability to engage at senior management levelProactive, curious, and investigative mindset with a continuous improvement approachAbility to navigate conflict constructively and deliver results in a fast-paced global environmentFlexibility and a “go the extra mile” attitude when tackling complex security challengesOur OfferTotal Target Cash includes base salary and annual bonus; final offer based on skills and experienceA strategic, high-impact role within a global IT Security team protecting operations across multiple continentsThe opportunity to work in a digitally transforming organizationA collaborative culture that fosters ownership, innovation, and continuous learningAccess to professional development, certifications, and knowledge-sharing within a diverse, multicultural IT teamA workplace committed to sustainability, integrity, and ethical conduct- embedded in everything we doA modern and flexible working environment based in Barcelona, with a truly global reachAt Clariant, we believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to our success.We strive to cultivate a workplace where all employees feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued.Our diverse workforce allows us to tap into a wealth of perspectives, experiences, and capabilities that drive innovation.We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for professional growth and advancement across all levels of the organization, based on objective criteria and regardless of gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, protected veteran status, age, disability, sexual orientation or other aspects of diversity in accordance with the relevant governing laws.#J-*****-Ljbffr
Requirements
