Job description

Our client, a technology solutions provider, needs a Microsoft Purview Engineer for a full-time role. The Microsoft Purview Engineer will work remotely PST hours and be responsible for architecting solutions, building automation, integrating Purview withing security data and ecosystem, and other areas.

Requirements

7+ years of security experience and 3 years focused on Microsoft Purview or previous predecessors such as Microsoft 365 Compliance Center or Azure Purview.
5 years of experience across Purview portfolio including data loss prevention, information protection, insider risk management, record management, eDiscovery, communication compliance, etc.
5+ years of experience with M365, Entra ID, and Azure governance tools.
Strong experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API. Understanding of KQL is strongly preferred.
4+ years working with Security frameworks including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Desired Skills:

Microsoft certifications
Previous experience integrating Purview in non-Microsoft data environments including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, Salesforce, etc.
Previous experience protecting data within Snowflake
IAM, SIEM, SOAR, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, or AI
