Senior Oracle Db Specialist

We’re looking for a Senior Oracle DB Specialist to join our team in Madrid, Spain in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and database architecture to support the integration of complex financial systems and ensure the stability of mission-critical platforms. You will act as a trusted technical partner, enabling smooth collaboration across business, engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions for securities trading, order management, and secondary market operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technologies while actively shaping digital banking solutions within a globally recognized wealth management group!ResponsibilitiesLead database-related aspects of integrating the order management system (IBM OTMS) with the future core banking platformSupport secondary market trading operational integrations by providing strong technical expertiseDeliver technical guidance across development and DevOps teams during system implementation phasesCollaborate with business analysts to identify functional requirements and translate them into efficient database solutionsUtilize Oracle PL/SQL expertise to optimize performance, streamline operations, and maintain high data integrityCommunicate effectively with external vendors (market data and exchange platforms) to ensure smooth business expansion and reliable systems integrationContribute to strategic discussions regarding software solutions for our client’s Order Management divisionMaintain existing systems and proactively identify opportunities for technical enhancementRequirementsExceptional knowledge of securities trading processes, including primary and secondary markets across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, funds, structured products, ETFs, derivatives)Strong understanding of financial instruments and money market transactionsPractical exposure to Bloomberg data (master data and pricing)Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SAFe or ScrumStrong Oracle PL/SQL 19+ development and performance tuning skillsHands-on experience in Linux environments and Bash scripting for automationUnderstanding of Java, .NET, or equivalent back-end technologies to interpret integration contextsSolid grounding in messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ) and event-driven architecturesFamiliarity with financial messaging protocols like FIX and ISO**Experience in RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, and security mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, TLS)Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab, Octopus) and distributed systems deployments; Kubernetes is a plusExperience with system design, architecture and observability using Grafana and PrometheusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnglish fluency (written and spoken)Nice to haveFamiliarity with IBM OTMS or similar order management platformsPrior experience in the wealth management or private banking sectorKnowledge of Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation#J-**-Ljbffr
