Job description

  • Develop, maintain, and scale end-to-end UI automated test suites using JavaScript and Playwright.
  • Design and execute automated UI test cases specifically tailored for React components and modern web interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end (React) and back-end (.NET) developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve UI defects and regression issues early in the development lifecycle.
  • Build resilient page objects, maintain UI locator strategies, and handle dynamic UI elements to ensure high test reliability and minimal flakiness.
  • Manage UI test suites, bug reports, and quality documentation in Jira.
  • Integrate automated Playwright UI test runs into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated regression testing on builds.
  • Perform functional UI, cross-browser compatibility, and visual regression testing across target platforms.
  • Analyze automated test execution results, capture artifacts (trace files, screenshots, videos), and provide actionable reports to the development team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of UI testing strategies, design patterns, and test execution speed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in modern JavaScript development and modern UI testing tools.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our development team for a React and .NET web application. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in web UI test automation using JavaScript and Playwright, alongside strong experience with Jira and Azure DevOps. A solid understanding of CI/CD processes and a passion for crafting robust front-end automated test suites are essential. This role will focus primarily on ensuring the visual integrity, functionality, and overall quality of our web user interfaces through comprehensive testing and automation practices., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a heavy focus on UI test automation.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and hands-on expertise with Playwright for web UI automation.
  • Deep understanding of DOM manipulation, CSS/XPath selectors, shadow DOM, and handling dynamic React UI elements.
  • Direct experience testing complex React-based front-end applications.
  • Familiarity with web architectures (.NET back-ends) to effectively trace UI issues to integration points.
  • Experience integrating Playwright automated UI suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira for defect tracking, sprint planning, and test management.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern QA best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
