Complete district wide Helpdesk tickets and assist end-users to resolve problems relating to computer and technology services in a timely manner.

Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers and peripherals, network cabling, and network equipment throughout the district. Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.

Install and perform repairs to equipment, including printers, computers, Chromebooks, iPads, scanners, projectors, document cameras, interactive whiteboards, wired and wireless connections and devices, audio visuals and peripherals.
- Install and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair data communications circuits and equipment.

Maintain district wide student devices, and support campuses during testing windows to include state, benchmark testing etc.

Provide technical assistance, equipment, and support during professional development sessions, assemblies, presentations, school board meetings, graduation and special events etc.
- Work cooperatively with staff to assist with logins and passwords.

Service equipment according to an established preventative maintenance schedule. Maintain accurate updated records of preventative maintenance.
- Process warranty information and repair work with the associated documentation., 7. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on technology knowledge and skills.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law and local board policy.
- Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; personal computers and peripherals; small truck or van Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds and over)
Environment: Exposure to electrical hazards; occasional prolonged and irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical degree or similar (preferred)
- Technology Industry Certifications (preferred)
- Clear and valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of computer workstation setup and imaging (identify requirement-i.e., Windows workstation).
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows 11, Chrome, Apple)
- Knowledge of Chromebook and Apple devices including MDM software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows maintenance
- Knowledge of Group Policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals including printers and scanners
- Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Subject to assignment, 1. Ensure that technology services are supportive of the instructional goals of the district. 2. Work cooperatively with staff and be a team player. 3. Manage and complete multiple tasks/projects with minimal supervision. 4. Responsibilities include being self-motivated, self-directed and detail oriented with organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
