About BizAway Here at BizAway, we Deliver the Future of Travel.We are a solid international company with strong ambitions and great expertise.With a focus on sustainability , on a daily basis we support companies enabling them to improve their travel management through our constantly evolving services and solutions, always characterized by our tech attitude and smart and innovative processes.We know that success comes from People and deserves to be recognized.Proactivity and Reliability, Kind collaboration, and communication are the core values of our Solution Culture.If you like challenges and would love to be part of one of the fastest-growing B2B scale-ups, then BizAway is the company you have been looking for.We are looking forWe are looking for a driven and enthusiasticData Engineer(m/w/d), who desires to contribute to the growth and success of our Data & Analytics Team.Your role in BizAwayAs a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that best supports our business needs.This includes implementing scalable and cost-effective data pipelines and ETL flows for both structured and unstructured data.You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and availability, while also collaborating on defining data design guidelines and event instrumentation strategies to enable consistent and reliable data collection across our systems.You will own BizAway’s ETL processes and contribute to the implementation of data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.Together with other team members, you will ensure that data governance, security, and compliance best practices are in place, along with comprehensive documentation.You will also operate confidently within modern AI development workflows, supporting the evolution of data products and AI-driven initiatives.Your basic qualifications3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar roleDemonstrated experience in data modelling and in implementing OLTP / OLAP systemsHands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred)Extensive knowledge of data architecture principlesStrong proficiency in SQL, Python and SparkExperience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB preferred)Be familiar with CI/CD processes and IAC tools (Terraform preferred)Ideally having a background in software engineeringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred)English proficiency (written and spoken, minimum B2 level)We are also interested inPrevious experience in the travel industry or similar sectorsPrevious experience with data modelling in Qlik Cloud or other BI platformsPrevious experience with data science and machine learning projectsOur offerContract type: PermanentWorking hours: Full-time - 40h/week, from Monday to Friday90% Remote work, flexible working policy, and great offices in EuropeSalary: Attractive compensation, including equity in the companyEquity in the company (stock options plan)??
