Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer

Bring disciplined engineering, practical troubleshooting, and sound technical judgment to mission-critical environments. Systems & Virtualization Support Windows, Linux, and OSX environments using Hyper-V, VMware ESX, VirtualBox, Active Directory, SCOM, and VMM.Networks & Resilience Engineer LAN/WAN, Cisco, SAN, backup, monitoring, capacity, and disaster-recovery solutions for reliable operations.Engineering & Operations Evaluate technology, implement COTS/GOTS applications, automate administration, and document technical and security recommendations. Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Experience identifying possible technical or security problems and providing documented responses.
• Experience supporting technical requirements management.
• Experience performing complex problem-management research and issue resolution.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and OSX.
• Experience with multiple hypervisors, including Hyper-V, ESX, and VirtualBox.
• Experience with Cisco operating systems, including IOS and NX-OS.
• Experience with Windows management technologies, including Active Directory, SCOM, and VMM.
• Experience with LAN and WAN deployments.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Microsoft DPM and Arcserve Backup.
• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), including design, provisioning, capacity planning, and maintenance.
• Experience designing, engineering, testing, and implementing the migration of Hyper-V virtual machines from Windows Server 2008 to a Windows Server 2012 R2 clustered Hyper-V environment.
• Experience with LAN and WAN network design, including backup systems and disaster-recovery architectures.
• Experience evaluating hardware and software products against customer requirements for technical evaluation and potential procurement.
• Experience designing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining COTS/GOTS applications.
• Experience with network monitoring appliances.
• Experience automating administrative tasks through scripting., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline-or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work experience.
• Experience with the Sponsor’s security or IT systems.
• Shell scripting experience.
• SQL Server experience and familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g and MySQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 10, and Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, and 2016.
• Experience using Microsoft System Center.
• Experience with storage systems, including NetApp and HP.
• Experience with VMware ESX.
• Experience with the various types of forensic software utilized by the Sponsor.
• Experience with HP servers and HP BladeSystem chassis.
• Experience providing recommendations concerning technical standards, security standards, and operational assurance.
• Experience providing recommendations during architecture and design reviews.
• Experience interfacing with vendors and third-party producers.
• Experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting customized forensic workstations.
• Preferred certifications: VMware certification and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)., Bring your infrastructure expertise, technical judgment, and problem-solving discipline to a team supporting critical enterprise operations.
