Job description

  • Administer, manage, and support district software applications and related business processes, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and functioning as expected.
  • Identify, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, reporting, and escalated support issues through research, testing, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications, business processes, and data systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, queries, and data visualizations to support district, state, federal, and departmental reporting needs.
  • Analyze, validate, and manage data to ensure accuracy, integrity, completeness, and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Create and maintain automated processes, scripts, workflows, and other tools that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Upload, extract, manipulate, validate, and manage data within district applications and information systems.
  • Assist with software implementations, data migrations, system integrations, reporting projects, and other technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with departments, vendors, and technology staff to identify needs, improve workflows, and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Manage application security, user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with district policies and data privacy requirements.
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support for district software applications, reporting tools, and data systems.
  • Maintain and update the ticketing system, knowledge base, documentation, procedures, and support resources to ensure accurate tracking and efficient issue resolution.
  • Communicate status updates, technical information, and progress toward resolution to users and stakeholders throughout the support process.
  • Monitor application performance and data quality to proactively identify issues, improve system effectiveness, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead or participate in cross-departmental projects and initiatives while effectively managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive data and district information systems.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service, communication, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting software applications, data management, reporting, or technical support, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and end-user support.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using application reporting tools, spreadsheets, or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting concepts, data integrity, and system integrations.
  • Ability to create and maintain basic scripts, automated processes, or workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Experience with application administration, user training, troubleshooting, and customer support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and data queries.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in maintaining data privacy, security, and compliance requirements., * Must have the ability to lift at least 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting.
