Job description

of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization and performs the following responsibilities/functions:Performs analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer softwareSupports stakeholder and product owner meetings to help define and validate software requirementsSupports the Project Manager on specified projectsIdentifies gaps in requirements and helps solve problems for the supporting staffIdentifies sequencing of services and technologies that are integrated in later phases of the projectMaintains legacy applicationsCollaborates with DBAs, System Admins, Test Engineers and Business Analysts to design solutionsDevelop design artifactsDevelop ways to improve the performance of applications and increase system availabilityProvides recommendations to infuse new technologyFull Stack web development using C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, SQL ServerSupport the front-end design, layout, and navigation of the web pages using HTML5

Requirements

CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and other libraries and toolsSupport, maintain and enhance existing and new web applicationsSupport, maintain and enhance existing and new database schemas and stored proceduresRemain current on software technologies through continued education classes and self-learning to ensure maximum job knowledge, efficiency and creativity WHAT YOULL NEED: Bring your development expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our Software Developer must have:Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance. Candidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance after hired.Required Experience:7+ years of Full Stack web development skills, using C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, XML/JSON, HTML5/CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Telerik, web servicesAbility to design the overall layout and site architecture of the web application and incorporate design featuresStrong understanding of relational databases and object relational mapping (ORM) databasesStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to code accuracy and requirements’ detailsMust be self-motivated with ability to learn new technologies quickly and ability to perform tasks with little directionExcellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative work skillsStrong background in object-oriented development techniquesExperience with Law Enforcement Data (major plus)Experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven engineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems – to include hands-on solutions development and implementation experienceAbility to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end usersAbility to establish and document new standards for quality, performance or productivityRequired Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CEEducation: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fieldLocation: Remote (Eastern & Central US time zones preferred)Position Availability
