Job description
As a Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Senior Level), your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Design, build, and optimize scalable, interactive dashboards for department heads and executive leadership.
- Clean, validate, and model disjointed data sets from multiple enterprise sources to establish a single version of truth.
- Partner with business units to gather complex requirements and translate them into technical analytics solutions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks in existing reports and SQL queries to improve data refresh rates.
- Lead mid-sized data initiatives from scoping through deployment with minimal supervision.
- Transform complex corporate data into actionable strategic insights.
- Bridge data engineering and business leadership through advanced analytics projects and enterprise reporting optimization.
Requirements
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Business Intelligence Analyst who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Business Intelligence Analyst would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced-to-expert SQL proficiency, including window functions, query optimization, and indexing.
- Deep expertise with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar BI visualization platforms.
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, automated scripting, and statistical analysis.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling practices.
- Strong data storytelling abilities and business acumen.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and requirements-gathering skills.
