Banner’s focus on innovation and customer-centered service makes it a trusted provider of smart automation solutions worldwide.Role DescriptionThe System Application Engineer (SAE) for the EMEA region is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting customers and internal teams with technical application expertise across Banner’s automation portfolio. This role involves collaborating with sales and engineering to develop, configure, and validate system solutions, including sensors, IIoT platforms, and industrial wireless technologies for diverse customer needs. Day-to-day tasks include providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex system issues, assisting in integrations, and guiding customers through commissioning and optimization. The SAE will prepare technical documentation, application notes, and solution proposals, as well as deliver product training and demonstrations to customers and partners in the EMEA region. The position also contributes feedback to product management and development teams to improve existing offerings and influence future innovations.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex automation systems.Candidates should possess technical support capabilities, including remote diagnostics and customer-facing problem resolution.Candidates should possess software development and programming experience, ideally in embedded, industrial, or IIoT environments.Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with industrial automation technologies (sensors, PLCs, machine safety, industrial networking, IIoT platforms) in manufacturing or process environments.Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and create concise technical documentation.Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with geographically distributed teams and customers across the EMEA region.Willingness to occasionally travel within EMEA for on-site support, training, and customer meetings.Proficiency in English; additional European languages are beneficial.What we offerA varied and impactful position with an innovative technology company.Company car, laptop, smartphone.Extensive training and advancement opportunities.Training will be organized first at our EMEA office in Diegem (Belgium) and subsequently at our Corporate Headquarter in USA.Support from an international team with a strong local presence.#J-***-Ljbffr

Requirements

Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex automation systems. Candidates should possess technical support capabilities, including remote diagnostics and customer-facing problem resolution. Candidates should possess software development and programming experience, ideally in embedded, industrial, or IIoT environments. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
