Job description
Insight Global is looking for a talented IT Project Manager to join one of their top federal clients at Hill Air Force Base on a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be joining the Information Services team and will be supporting the Mission of Strategic Deterrence through continuous improvements and innovation. Some of your responsibilities would include:
- Lead and coordinate the transition of legacy infrastructure and applications into cloud-based environments, developing migration strategies that reduce operational disruption and support timely implementation.
- Partner with DevSecOps, security, and compliance stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions align with regulatory requirements and support authorization and accreditation efforts.
- Drive cloud deployment initiatives and oversee the onboarding of services into modern cloud environments.
- Support cloud governance activities, including scalability planning, resource optimization, cost management, and security best practices.
- Direct the integration of hybrid cloud ecosystems to maintain reliable connectivity between existing on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
- Manage cloud infrastructure capacity planning and resource allocation to promote system stability, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement identity and access management solutions along with cloud-native security controls.
Requirements
Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, networking concepts, application security, and security frameworks.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against project timelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking technologies, system architectures, commercial-off-the-shelf technologies, and software development practices.
- Strong organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical requirements.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government, Google Cloud Public Sector, or other government cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud adoption frameworks and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of NIST standards and federal cybersecurity requirements related to cloud environments.
- Experience supporting or maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
- Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
