Job description

SHS is seeking an IT Technician to provide frontline technology support across the entire Sacred Heart Schools campus, ensuring faculty, staff, and students have reliable access to the technology and classroom systems they depend on every day.

Responsibilities include

· Provide in-person and remote device support for faculty, staff, and students for Sacred Heart Schools.

· Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows devices.

· Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

· Support classroom touch panel displays and other interactive instructional technology.

· Provide limited support for networked devices, including basic troubleshooting and escalation of hardware issues.

· Support audio/video equipment for classrooms, and occasionally for events.

· Maintain IT equipment and software inventory, including tracking and reporting.

· Maintain help desk ticketing system records, including timely data entry and status updates.

· Provide basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting for end users.

· Assist with onboarding/offboarding of user accounts and devices.

· Installation of classroom technology, security equipment, and other technology.

· Maintain cleanliness and standardization of IT IDF closets and storage.

· Collaborate with the IT Department office supporting other roles within the department.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree or a technical certification from a college or university.

· Strong logic and reasoning skills.

· 1-2 years of experience working in an IT support position.

· Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.

· Knowledge of computer and peripheral equipment operations; basic network operations; minor computer troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques; standard computer software installation processes; basic record-keeping and inventory procedures.

· Ability to multitask and accept a dynamic workload across a JK-12 campus.

· Have a clear understanding of how to prioritize the needs of the Sacred Heart Schools.

· Desire to learn and grow knowledge within the IT field.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to teach others in a respectful manner.

· Must be proficient and skilled at analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing personal computers and computer peripherals.

· Must be self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks with minimal direction.

· Experience working in a school environment is preferred.

· Experience supporting classroom touch panels or interactive display systems is preferred.

· Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) tools is preferred.
