In this role, you will lead and support the full Verification and Validation lifecycle of advanced avionics components and subsystems for aerospace applications. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting component-level tests across all phases-from initial board bring-up through functional testing, acceptance testing, and qualification testing-ensuring all avionics components meet performance specifications and reliability standards in demanding aerospace environments. You will collaborate closely with design, hardware, and software teams throughout the product development lifecycle., * Design and implement functional test procedures to verify component performance against design specifications.

  • Develop automated test scripts and sequences to improve test efficiency and repeatability.

  • Perform electrical characterization and validation of components under various operating conditions.

  • Analyze test data and provide feedback to design teams for continuous improvement.

  • Execute acceptance test procedures in accordance with program requirements and customer specifications.

  • Plan and conduct environmental qualification testing including thermal cycling, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC testing.

  • Debug hardware issues at the component and/or board level using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test procedures, verification matrices, test reports, and requirements traceability based on component specifications.

  • Participate in key technical reviews (design, test readiness, etc.) to support flight and test readiness of avionics components and sub-systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

  • Years of experience in avionics component test engineering for aerospace applications (spaceflight, satellites, spacecraft, or similar) in line with engineering level.

  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging.

  • Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, function generators, and logic analyzers.

  • Understanding of digital and analog circuit principles.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and embedded systems.

  • Solid understanding of space-relevant avionics qualification and acceptance standards (e.g., NASA-STD-8739.4, ECSS, MIL-STD-1540, MIL-STD-883, NASA GEVS, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated test equipment and LabVIEW, Python, or similar test automation tools.

  • Familiarity with environmental testing standards (MIL-STD-810, DO-160, etc.).

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation interfaces (GPIB, USB, Ethernet).

  • Background in avionics, flight hardware, or space-rated components.

  • Understanding of statistical analysis and test data reduction techniques.
