Job description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Software Engineer on Nordstrom’s DSP team, you design, build, and support platforms powering agent and customer interactions across web UIs, APIs, and event-driven services. You’ll collaborate across squads to deliver AI-enabled servicing experiences and high-traffic dashboards for orders and loyalty. You will work end-to-end, influence architecture, and mentor others while contributing to AI and automation initiatives that elevate the customer and agent experience. This role combines hands-on development with cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate to develop experiences across Interaction Management and Digital Servicing platforms * Integrate with services and events to enhance ecommerce experience * Influence code-level decisions for cleaner, sustainable architecture * Support on-call incidents with telemetry-based diagnoses * Deliver full-stack features using React, Java, and C#/.NET * Participate in Agile planning and delivery cycles * Write maintainable RESTful and event-driven code across services, databases, and cloud * Mentor engineers and break down large designs into work units * Design and execute automated unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing * Instrument code with metrics, alerts, and dashboards (New Relic, Splunk) * Identify and prevent performance issues, optimize infrastructure * Partner with AI/automation initiatives (agent assist, intelligent routing, self-service) Tasks * 6+ years of experience developing RESTful services and event-driven applications * Proficiency with Web UI development (React, Redux, Node.js, TypeScript) * Experience with Java, C#, or other OO languages * Experience with AWS services such as Kubernetes, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation * Familiarity with Linux/Docker, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines * Experience with Kubernetes, New Relic, and Splunk * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Curious mindset for AI adoption and optimization of work processes * Passion for new technologies, operational excellence, and customer impact Key requirements * Medical/Vision * Dental * Retirement * Paid Time Away * Life Insurance * Disability Insurance
