Software Engineer III, AI/ML, Search

Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to Google Search by applying software engineering and ML to scale information access. You’ll collaborate across teams to design, review, and implement robust solutions, while improving model performance and infrastructure. You’ll triage issues, debug systems, and help document and educate teams as product updates roll out. The position offers opportunities to influence high-impact features used by billions and advance AI-driven search capabilities. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with peers through design and code reviews to promote best practices * Contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting to product updates and user feedback * Triage and debug product or system issues, analyzing impact on hardware, network, or service operations * Implement ML solutions, optimize models, and work with ML infrastructure and data processing * Contribute to model optimization and data processing within ML projects * Work on projects critical to Google’s needs with potential team switches as the business evolves Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience * 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages * 1 year of experience in: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization * 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging) Key requirements * bonus target (15%) * equity * benefits
