Job description
The Sr. Director of IT Revenue Cycle Operations is responsible for the overall management of the IT Revenue Cycle Application Team, including strategic planning, vendor management, resource management and allocation, project planning and organization support in collaboration with Organization Stakeholders. Contributes to the achievement of Scion Health’s vision, strategies, and Information Systems goals in order to achieve company success., * Establishes an environment for continuous improvement and adopts a best practices culture in order to produce high performance teams Ensures timely escalation of team and systems issues in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Ensures the team is well aligned with business growth goals and future strategies.
- Provides necessary feedback and justification to IS Executive Management concerning system improvements, best practices, system documentation/policies, exceptional customer service and solutions to ongoing IT Team problems.
- Establishes effective strategic relationships with business executives, Information Systems Departments, and external vendors to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Influences involvement by business leadership in order to achieve overall success of Revenue Cycle Team projects.
- Invites and seeks out future project/process enhancement opportunities that require Revenue Cycle Team participation.
- Directs and supports the continuous review and forecasting of team budget and spending.
- Develops, coaches, and motivates direct reports to lead by example, enabling effective performance, career growth and retention.
- Monitors healthcare IT industry trends and identifies emerging technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven successful executive relationships and business acumen
- Proven Healthcare Revenue Cycle business knowledge and success in managing highly complex systems while applying industry best practices
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to deadlines and deliverables that are linked to the company’s financial objectives, as well as industry requirements
- Approximate percent of time required to travel: 40%
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business or related field (Required)
License/Certifications
- Professional certifications related to essential functions Upon Hire (Preferred)
Experience
- 10+ years in utilization, support or management of healthcare revenue cycle software (Required)
- 5+ years serving in IT Function as a Manager, Director or Leader in revenue cycle support (Required)
- 5+ years exposure and knowledge with key vendor applications and system (Meditech, Cerner, Epic, Medhost) (Required)
- Prior Experience with core IT Capabilities (Service Management and Support, Project Management, etc.) (Required)
