About Pangea Propulsion We are a company dedicated to developing advanced propulsion systems for the space industry, driven by three core principles: efficiency, sustainability, and reusability.At Pangea, we are pushing the boundaries of propulsion technology to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions for the next generation of spacecraft.We have already made history by successfully testing the world’s first 3D-printed Methalox Aerospike engine, marking a major milestone for the industry.We are a passionate, multidisciplinary, and multicultural team working across Barcelona and Toulouse.We strongly believe that diversity is key to innovation, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can grow and contribute.About the roleWe are seeking aTest Engineerto join our growing test team inAlguaireat our internal test facility, supporting the testing of rocket engines and in-space propulsion systems.You will play a key role across the full lifecycle of propulsion test campaigns, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting, while contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our test facilities.This role offers hands?on experience with cutting?edge propulsion technologies, including cryogenic engines and in-space propulsion systems, working closely with experienced engineers.You will take ownership of specific test activities and campaigns, requiring a structured, pragmatic approach to planning and execution, with a clear focus on achieving objectives in complex, time?constrained environments.Important:This position requires occasional travel to external test sites in Spain and abroad.All travel expenses are covered.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of propulsion system tests (cryogenic engines, in-space propulsion systems, turbopumps, and subsystems).Take ownership of test activities and small-to-medium test campaigns, ensuring proper planning, coordination, and execution.Assist in the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of test facilities and ground support equipment.Develop and follow procedures, checklists, and safety protocols, always ensuring safe test execution.Contribute to data acquisition setup, instrumentation, and calibration activities.Perform post-test data analysis and support the preparation of technical reports.Collaborate with design and systems teams to define test objectives, parameters, and success criteria.Support preventive maintenance programs and facility reliability improvements.Identify and implement improvements in test setups, instrumentation, and processes.Ensure compliance with internal safety, quality, and operational standards.Contribute to the development of test rigs and associated software tools.What You Need To Be Successful2 years of experience in aerospace, propulsion, or hardware testing (academic or professional).Solid engineering background (ideally aerospace or mechanical engineering).Experience with testing activities and experimental setups.Understanding of test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.Basic knowledge of safety practices in high-pressure or cryogenic environments.Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks pragmatically, focusing on delivering results.Demonstrated ownership and leadership mindset, with the ability to lead activities and drive progress.Strong analytical, hands?on, and problem?solving skills.Ability to work in a fast?paced, cross?functional environment.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Proactive mindset with strong ownership and willingness to learn.Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.Nice to HaveExperience with cryogenic or liquid propellant systems.Experience with LabVIEW.Experience in test rig software development and automation.Equal OpportunityPangea Propulsion is an equal?opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.We consider all applications without discrimination on any legally protected grounds.We welcome applications from persons with disabilities and can provide reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace.#J-*****-Ljbffr

Requirements

2 years of experience in aerospace, propulsion, or hardware testing (academic or professional). Solid engineering background (ideally aerospace or mechanical engineering). Experience with testing activities and experimental setups. Understanding of test instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Basic knowledge of safety practices in high-pressure or cryogenic environments. Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks pragmatically, focusing on delivering results. Demonstrated ownership and leadership mindset, with the ability to lead activities and drive progress. Strong analytical, hands?on, and problem?solving skills.
