Job description

  • Define AI-ready data platform components including ingestion, orchestration, storage and compute layers.
  • Provide architectural leadership, oversight and governance across delivery teams.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable and scalable architectural solutions.
  • Engage senior stakeholders and influence strategic technical decisions.
  • Drive architectural patterns, standards and best practices across teams.
  • Coach engineers and junior architects, raising the technical bar of the wider team.

Requirements

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect who will play a pivotal role in strengthening our data engineering and AI-ready capabilities. You combine strong technical expertise with business acumen as well as stakeholder management, communication skills and a consultancy mindset. Your expertise will ensure continuity, architectural excellence, and the design of future-proof solutions across complex enterprise environments., * Have 6+ years of experience in data architecture or analytics platform design and implementation.

  • Have experience in a client-facing role in a consultancy firm.
  • Experience with designing and implementing data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse and ELT/ETL architectures.
  • Experience in designing and implementing architectures that support AI-use cases (ML, GenAI, AgenticAI).
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling.
  • You can translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a great plus.
  • Experience in AWS and/or GCP is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g. financial services) is a plus.
