Liverpool - Hybrid workingBasic salary up to £72kWe’re hiring an Application Support Engineer with strong IRESS Xplan experience to join a collaborative technology team supporting and enhancing the organisation’s Xplan platform. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Xplan Support Engineer or Application Support Analyst looking to work on business-critical financial planning technology.The Application Support Engineer - IRESS Xplan will focus on maintaining and improving Xplan solutions, delivering configuration changes, enhancing workflows, and supporting reporting capabilities that improve functionality and user experience across the platform. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of IRESS Xplan changes - from understanding requirements and developing enhancements through to supporting deployments, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.Working closely with business analysts, application engineers, data teams, product teams, and wider stakeholders, the

Application Support Engineer will help deliver reliable Xplan solutions and ensure the platform continues to meet the needs of the organisation.Application Support Engineer - Key Requirements: Strong experience supporting, developing, and maintaining IRESS Xplan solutions Hands-on experience with Xplan configuration, workflows, and platform enhancements Experience developing solutions using Xmerge, Python, or JavaScript Experience creating and improving IRESS Xplan reports and templates Exposure to reporting and data tools including Power BI, Alteryx, and/or Snowflake Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to issue resolution High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience working within an agile technology environmentApplication Support Engineer - Salary & Benefits: Basic salary up to £72k Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office) Company bonus scheme Enhanced pension contributions 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) Private medical cover Life assurance and income protection Flexible benefits and learning opportunitiesThis Application Support Engineer role would suit someone with strong Xplan experience who enjoys improving business-critical applications, working across technology and business teams, and delivering solutions that enhance how users interact with the platform.
