Job description

You will be responsible for designing, building and testing our Android application which has earned Editor’s Choice and Top Developer awards in the Google Play Store. We help millions of users worldwide discover and make reservations at new restaurants. Our Android app has been featured in the Google I/O keynote several times in the last 4 years. Our engineering team is cross-functional, co-located with product and design. We use agile development methods to release a new version of our app twice a month. We use the latest development tools and due to the nature of our product and customer base, we are able to target the very latest Android devices. Responsibilities

Design and implement new features using the latest android APIs
Work with our design team to build a stunning UI using material design and cutting edge animations
Write unit tests and participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality
Keep up to date with the state-of-the-art of Android development What you will bring to OpenTable
1 - a passion for the Android platform and using the latest tools and APIs

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
5+ years of significant experience with Java development and debugging
3+ years of Android development experience
Experience shipping an Android app currently in the Play Store
Excellent problem-solving skills
A high standard for clean code
Experience writing unit tests
Good communication & interpersonal skills Bonus points for
Experience with Git
Experience with MVP
