Chief Information Security Officer

Experteer Overview Senior executive role leading enterprise information security at a $54B+ financial institution. You’ll define and mature the security program across banking, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and fiduciary entities, with governance spanning cloud, AI, and privacy. You will partner with the Board and leadership to translate cyber risk into actionable decisions and build a security culture that meets regulatory scrutiny. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the enterprise information security program: policies, standards, controls, governance and reporting * Define and monitor the organization’s cyber-risk profile against board-approved thresholds * Report strategy, program effectiveness, incidents, and examination outcomes to executives and Board * Direct security operations: threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, remediation, regulatory notification * Serve as Privacy Officer: governance, risk assessments, training, incident response and breach notification * Govern cloud security across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS including architecture, identity, encryption, monitoring, resilience * Establish AI and generative AI governance including data protection and third-party risk * Oversee third-party cyber risk from due diligence to ongoing monitoring and incident coordination * Drive SEC and FINRA regulatory readiness with affiliate compliance, legal and business leaders * Secure a defensible, risk-based security budget and build leadership and talent pipelines Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Science * 15+ years in information security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or related disciplines * 8-10+ years in senior cybersecurity leadership roles * Experience in enterprise cybersecurity, privacy, cloud security, AI governance, and regulatory compliance in large regulated financial services environments * Experience presenting to executives and Boards and supporting regulatory examinations * Preferred professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, GIAC or related Key requirements *
