Job description

Full Stack Software Developer Permanent Location: Manchester - hybrid working, 2 - 3 days per week onsite - expenses covered Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 (+ benefits including travel allowance) Skills: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Docker, MongoDB, CI/CD, Agile, Microservices, Kubernetes We are looking to recruit a Full Stack Software Developer to join a long-term, fully funded Central Government programme based in Manchester. You will work within a collaborative software engineering team, designing, developing and deploying secure, business-critical applications using a modern technology stack. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite attendance in Manchester two to three days per week, with travel expenses covered. The role You will be involved across the full software development lifecycle, working on both front-end applications and back-end services. Responsibilities will include: Designing, developing and maintaining secure software applications

Requirements

Building user interfaces using React, JavaScript and TypeScript Developing back-end services using Node.js and Java Spring Boot Working with containerised applications and deployment tooling Producing clean, maintainable and well-tested code Troubleshooting issues across development and production environments Contributing to technical discussions and engineering decisions Supporting continuous integration and deployment processes Collaborating with developers, testers, platform engineers and other stakeholders Promoting software engineering best practice across the team Essential experience Candidates should have strong commercial software development experience and a combination of the following: React JavaScript and TypeScript Node.js Java and Spring Boot Docker MongoDB CI/CD tooling You should also have experience working within Agile software delivery teams and developing enterprise-level web applications or services. Additional technologies Experience with any of the following would be beneficial: Redux Helm Ansible Jenkins RabbitMQ Redis UNIX or Linux scripting Kubernetes Microservices Infrastructure as Code Security clearance Applicants must already hold active SC clearance and be willing and eligible to undergo DV clearance if required. Candidates must be able to work within a secure Central Government environment from the beginning of the role. Unfortunately, applicants without active SC clearance cannot be considered. TPBN1_UKTJ
