Associate Director, Banking, Quality Engineering (QE), Technology & Transformation

• Lead delivery programmes by defining modern Quality Engineering strategies, test architectures, and assurance frameworks. Work closely with multi-capability teams and senior business and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality QE outcomes on time.
• Collaborate with our Banking leadership teams, proposition owners and QE to develop and implement ‘Go to market’ propositions to attract new clients.
• Shape client Quality Engineering strategies, roadmaps, and transformation programmes across Banking. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and guide investment in the right QE tools and methods.
• Help develop Deloitte’s QE propositions for the Banking market through pre-sales, bids, and client presentations. Support practice growth and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.
• Strengthen Deloitte’s QE capability by coaching junior team members and helping define and implement QE accelerators and standards.
• The opportunity to travel within the UK and worldwide when required.

• Significant experience of working within the UK Banking industry (Retail, Commercial or Capital Markets) either directly or in a professional services firm
• Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to bridge both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience of working with offshore and/or nearshore teams
• Experience of building and strengthening key client relationships
• Experience of functional system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and non-functional testing including performance and automation
• Test management tool expertise (such as JIRA/ADO/X-Ray)
• Experience of working on RfPs either as a requestor / judge or a responder
• Experience of developing thought leadership materials or go to market propositions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and self-driver
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and often changeable client environment
• Strong commercial awareness of how professional services firms and change/transformation programmes operate

Additional desirable experience includes:

• ISTQB Advanced / Manager level or equivalent
• Application of GenAI tooling within the SDLC
• Ability to design and implement test automation frameworks
• ISTQB Certified Agile Tester qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience in administering a test management tool (e.g. ALM, Xray for Jira, Zephyr)

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm.
