Senior Back-end Engineer

You will be part of a global engineering team developing highly scalable backend services using modern Java technologies, cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. The team is responsible for building secure, high-performance distributed systems, delivering new functionality while continuously improving platform reliability, automation and operational excellence. As a Back-End Software Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale Java backend services and APIs. You’ll work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with engineers, DevOps and Site Reliability teams to build robust, scalable applications deployed within cloud environments. You’ll contribute to backend architecture, infrastructure improvements, CI/CD automation and production support while ensuring systems remain highly available, secure and maintainable.

Experience building, deploying and supporting software in production environments * Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture and distributed systems * Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integrations * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation * Experience working within Agile development teams * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills * Ability to take ownership of features from design through to deployment * Excellent communication and collaborative working skills * Passion for learning new technologies and engineering best practices, Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration * Knowledge of Helm or similar deployment tooling * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP * Familiarity with DevOps or GitOps methodologies * Experience working with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Redis * Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
