Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in Apache Spark.

• Strong experience building backend services and APIs.

Database Expertise:

• Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and distributed NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
• Familiarity with data modelling, query optimisation, and indexing strategies.

Data Platforms:

• Hands-on experience with data lakes and lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Spark.

Data Engineering Knowledge:

• Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and using orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
• Understanding of JSON, XML, APIs, and data ingestion technologies.

Cloud Experience:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of data governance and compliance. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). Background in Agile methodologies.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, with a knack for translating functional requirements into technical solutions. A positive, approachable personality that fosters collaboration and rapport with colleagues.
