Job description
Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced AI Platform Ops Engineer in Englewood, CO., The AI Platform Ops Engineer will help build, automate, and support a modern enterprise AI platform running on Databricks and AWS. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevOps who is passionate about enabling scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
You will be responsible for maintaining a secure, reliable, and highly automated platform while partnering with engineering teams to support analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Databricks workspaces in a production environment
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments
- Implement and manage Unity Catalog governance, data classifications, and access controls
- Support AI platform integrations, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks and authentication
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability
- Enforce cluster policies and contribute to platform cost optimization initiatives
- Create automation and self-service tools using Python and Bash scripting
- Document platform standards and mentor junior engineers on best practices
Requirements
- Must have 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or a related field
- Must have 3+ years of hands-on Databricks administration in a production environment
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Strong experience with AWS services, including IAM, S3, and VPC
- Proficiency with Python and/or Bash scripting for automation
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and access controls within modern data platforms
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, * Experience with Unity Catalog administration
- Familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles
- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, LLM platforms, or AI agent frameworks (MCP)
- Experience supporting enterprise or highly regulated environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
