Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:City: MadridDescription: Do you want to be part of a company where customer satisfaction, colleagues and professional development are the cornerstones?If you identify with this, keep reading!ABOUT THE JOBWithin the Railway Systems Area, we are looking for a senior systems specialist to lead the design, integration and delivery of telecom, control and support systems for major railway programmes.The role requires a hands?on technical leader responsible for the full lifecycle-from design development to commissioning-acting as technical authority across telecom and control systems, and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces with civil, signalling, power and system teams.The project will deliver a complex railway system aligned with international standards, including design, integration, installation, testing and commissioning of telecom, control, cybersecurity and supporting railway subsystems.Key responsibilitiesLead design and integration of telecom and control systems across the programmeOversee subsystems including Data Communication Network, CCTV, Asset Management Systems, SCADA, Public Address, Passenger Information System, OCC, Wireless Communication Systems (WiFi, GSM-R/FRMCS), Telephony and cybersecurity platforms, Hazard Detection and Early Warning System.Manage interfaces with signalling, traction power, civil and rolling stock systemsEnsure compliance with international standards and project-specific requirementsLead technical reviews, assurance and validation of engineering deliverablesCoordinate with client, contractors, OEMs and multidisciplinary teamsSupport construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities on siteManage technical risks and ensure system performance and safetyLead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teamsBenefitsFlexible working hoursRemote work: 1 day per week or two afternoonsReduced summer hours (July and August)Flexible compensation (meal card, health insurance, transport card, childcare, etc.)Life and accident insuranceWork?life balanceLong?term career development focusPartnership opportunities for all peopleMulticultural, multidisciplinary environmentStrong culture of delegation beyond the normMutual commitmentABOUT YOUDo not hesitate to apply if you have:Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical or equivalent)Chartered Engineer or equivalent (preferred)Membership of recognised professional body (e.g. IET, IEEE)Continuous professional development in railway systemsMinimum **+ years’ experience in railway telecom and control systemsProven delivery of large?scale railway projects with multidisciplinary interfacesExperience across the full lifecycle: design, integration, construction support, testing and commissioningParticipation in complex programmes with high system integration requirementsTechnical CompetenciesTelecom systems design (IP/MPLS networks, transmission, VoIP)Control systems (SCADA / ICSS integration)Cybersecurity standards (IEC **, TS **)Telecoms Subsystems integrationSystem engineering, requirements management and interface controlRAMS, V&V and system assurance processesProfessional SkillsStrong leadership and team coordination capabilityProven stakeholder management (clients, contractors, OEMs)Experience in international project environmentsExcellent written and spoken EnglishAbility to act as technical authority in complex programmesMobility / DeploymentWillingness to be based on project site as requiredAvailability for extended site presence during key project phasesAbility to work across international teams#J-**-Ljbffr
Requirements
