Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you guide GPU driver development and performance across the Pixel platform, collaborating with Android, Pixel, and silicon leaders. You will shape features and optimizations spanning the GPU software and hardware stack, and lead a distributed engineering team through silicon bring-up, debugging, and requirement definition for future devices. You’ll drive alignment across cross-functional teams and own the kernel/user-space driver stack to deliver fast, reliable graphics experiences at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Provide technical leadership on graphics hardware/software opportunities for Android, Pixel, and Silicon leadership * Coach and lead a distributed engineering team across multiple sites * Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines * Develop GPU graphics and compute technologies across the full GPU software and hardware stack * Evaluate devices and collaborate with product/engineering to define GPU role in future products * Share ownership of kernel and user-space GPU driver stack; develop features and performance improvements * Bring up silicon, debug challenging problems, and identify future hardware/software requirements for Pixel products Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience * 8 years of experience in low level systems programming languages (C++ or C) * 5 years of experience developing and maintaining device drivers that interface software with hardware * 3 years of experience with software design, architecture, and technical leadership * Experience withGraphics Processing Units (GPUs) and mobile GPUs Key requirements * bonus target * equity * benefits
