Sr. Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will architect and implement scalable backend services and integration solutions on MuleSoft, enabling high-throughput API-led connectivity. You will collaborate with architects and product managers to translate requirements into robust system designs and data transformations. As technical anchor, you mentor junior engineers, enforce security standards, and optimize performance in a cloud-native, microservices environment. You help drive secure, compliant integrations at scale for the Agreement Cloud. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of backend services and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Java/OOP languages * Champion API-led connectivity by designing and managing lifecycle of Experience, Process, and System APIs (REST/RAML/OAS) * Write complex backend code for core business logic with advanced DataWeave transformations and custom Java components * Collaborate with Architects and Product Managers to translate business requirements into scalable designs * Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards and security best practices * Design and implement cloud-native architectures with microservices, API Gateways, and containers (Docker/Kubernetes) * Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks in API throughput and backend processing * Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Github SaaS) for automated testing and deployment of MuleSoft apps and Java services * Ensure solutions adhere to security protocols (OAuth2, mTLS, OIDC) and data governance standards * Stay ahead on backend trends, integration patterns (Event-Driven, Pub/Sub), and Anypoint Platform roadmap Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field * 8+ years in software development with backend focus * 3+ years with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4, API Manager, Runtime Manager) * Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (Java) and Spring Boot * Experience with DataWeave 2.0 for data mapping/transformation * Experience with microservices, software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms * Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and serverless concepts (Lambda/Functions) * Experience with version control (Git) and branching strategies Key requirements * Paid Time Off * Paid Parental Leave * Full Health Benefits Plans * Retirement Plans * Learning and Development * Compassionate Care Leave
