Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong Trading Hub/Capital Markets experience to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade trading applications. The ideal candidate will have 9 12 years of hands-on Java development experience with a strong understanding of trading systems, financial markets, trade processing, and high-performance distributed applications., * Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications supporting trading and capital-markets platforms.
- Develop backend services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Work on Trading Hub applications and integrations across trading systems.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
- Integrate applications with internal and external trading, market-data, and downstream systems.
- Support trade-processing workflows including trade capture, validation, enrichment, execution, booking, and downstream processing.
- Build high-performance and resilient applications capable of processing large transaction volumes.
- Work with messaging/event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, MQ, JMS, or equivalent platforms.
- Design and optimize database queries using SQL and relational databases.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code following enterprise development standards.
- Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern software-development practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and trading/business stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
The candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, messaging technologies, SQL/databases, and distributed systems, along with experience working within financial services or capital markets environments., * 9 12 years of professional software-development experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Java/J2EE.
- Advanced knowledge of Core Java, including multithreading, concurrency, collections, exception handling, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Trading Hub, trading applications, or capital-markets systems.
- Good understanding of the trade lifecycle and financial-services technology environment.
- Experience with messaging/event-driven technologies such as Kafka, JMS, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with distributed, highly available, and scalable enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Banking, investment banking, brokerage, or capital-markets experience.
- Knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Securities, or other financial instruments.
- Understanding of front-office, middle-office, and back-office trading workflows.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or AppDynamics.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure API development.
