Job description

Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices.
Primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Work with outside data sources and API’s
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Continuously Client, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent domain
5+ years of experience in Software Development or Quality Engineering
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to analyse requirements, develop a test plan, create, and execute test cases, track defects and report results
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages: Java, C#/C++
Familiarity with JSON and XML
Good knowledge of API testing techniques and tools: Postman, REST-Assured, SoapUI or similar
Strong skills in relational and non-relational databases: MSSQL/ PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar
Expert in test automation and working experience with UFT/QTP and .Net

Expert in test automation and working experience with Selenium+TestNG
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages: Java, C#/C++
Familiarity with JSON and XML
Good knowledge of API testing techniques and tools: Postman, REST-Assured, SoapUI or similar
Strong skills in relational and non-relational databases: MSSQL/ PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar
Expert in test automation and working experience with Selenium+TestNG, 1. Bachelors Engineering or equivalent in Computers 2. Certification and/or industry standard trainings on Android

Mandatory Technical know-how:

Proven software development experience
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
Proven working experience in Android development. Have published at least 2-3 original Android app.
Experience with Android SDK, Kotlin and Java.
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

Good to know

SQL Server/ Couchbase Server

Soft Skills:

Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
