AI Engineer

Experteer Overview As an AI Engineer in our Innovation Lab, you will blend software engineering excellence with AI development to build cutting-edge solutions for the financial sector. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to prototype and deliver production-ready AI applications, grounded in solid engineering practices. Your focus includes requirements analysis, design, testing, and deployment to improve business processes through automation and AI techniques. This role offers meaningful impact across product design, user experience, and systems enhancements within a forward-thinking financial institution. Compensation / Benefits * Develop AI/ML software solutions with a focus on Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures * Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices (Python FastAPI/Flask, Java Spring Boot) * Support CI/CD, version control, and configuration management processes * Maintain AI pipelines and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability * Write clean, efficient code and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and security * Analyze and improve business processes using automation and AI solutions * Participate in testing (unit/integration), feasibility studies, and system documentation * Execute change and release processes, including model versioning and deployment * Develop PoC and graphical simulation software; contribute to product design reviews * Collaborate with product managers, developers, IT, and customer service to meet goals * Other duties as assigned Tasks * 2+ years in software development, databases, version control, DevOps, cloud platforms, and microservices * Proven experience with Generative AI (prompting, fine-tuning, RAG) and traditional software engineering (APIs, CI/CD, Git) * Hands-on with Python and/or Java programming and related technologies * Solid SDLC knowledge, Agile/Scrum, SQL/database concepts, and application servers (WebSphere, Tomcat) * Experience debugging and performing unit/integration/end-to-end testing * Ability to translate complex requirements into strategic, validated solutions * Cloud experience with modern architectures (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable) and infrastructure-as-code * Team collaboration and adaptability to changing priorities * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Key requirements * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance - START DAY ONE * Life and Disability Insurance * Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Assistance * Health Savings (HSA) and Flexible Spending (FSA) * Paid Training and PTO + 11 holidays * 401(k) with company match and Profit Sharing
