Senior iOS Developer - Banking Applications

Experteer Overview Senior iOS Developer to join the mobile engineering team building secure, scalable banking apps. You will design and maintain iOS solutions using UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Swift, while integrating modern build systems and automated tests. This role emphasizes independent work, technical leadership, and adherence to banking regulations. You will collaborate across teams, mentor juniors, and contribute to secure development practices and risk controls. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain iOS apps for banking/financial services using UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Swift * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features * Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with banking regulations and standards * Utilize Tuist and other modern build systems to streamline workflows * Develop and maintain automated tests for reliability and performance * Troubleshoot production issues with root cause analysis * Work autonomously with effective task and priority management * Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership * Stay current with iOS development trends, tools and best practices * Understand and adhere to risk, regulatory standards, and controls and escalate risk issues as needed * Promote a culture aligned with the M&T Bank brand * Maintain internal controls and respond to audit points as applicable * Complete other related duties as assigned Tasks * Advanced proficiency in UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and/or Swift * Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries * Solid understanding of iOS architecture components and design patterns * Experience with automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Quick, Nimble) * Familiarity with secure mobile development practices (encryption, secure storage, biometric authentication) * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Key requirements * Hybrid work arrangement * Competitive pay range $97,100.00 - $161,800.00 (USD)
