Net Developer

We are seeking a mid-level .NET Developer for a 4-month engagement to support the modernization of an internal centralized workflow queue application. This role will focus on enhancing and maintaining a legacy C#/.NET Framework web application while driving SQL Server development and targeted user interface improvements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can quickly understand existing code and database structures, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver practical solutions within a fast-paced modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, tables, views, queries, and data-processing logic.
• Support modernization efforts for a C#/.NET Framework (4.6-4.8) web application, including updates to business logic, data access layers, and workflow functionality.
• Enhance and maintain Bootstrap-based user interfaces to improve usability, consistency, and supportability.
• Analyze existing application and database components to identify defects, performance issues, and modernization opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather requirements and validate workflow behavior.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, defect resolution, deployment support, and technical documentation updates.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and technical recommendations to stakeholders and team members.

• 3-5+ years of hands-on development experience with C# and .NET Framework, preferably supporting legacy enterprise web applications.
• Strong SQL Server expertise, including:
• Stored Procedures
• Complex Queries and Joins
• Database Updates
• Data Validation
• Performance Optimization
• Experience supporting ASP.NET web applications and SQL Server-backed solutions.
• Working knowledge of:
• Bootstrap
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• jQuery
• Experience with Visual Studio, GitHub (or similar source control), Jira, Confluence, and standard SDLC practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and quickly become productive within an existing application environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills., * Experience supporting workflow, queue management, case management, or operational processing applications.
• Experience working on application modernization initiatives involving legacy .NET platforms.
• Familiarity with database tuning, application support, and production issue resolution.
• Ability to balance maintenance, enhancement, and modernization work within tight project timelines.
