Job description
- Design, develop, and optimize NLP and AI/ML solutions that enhance vehicle health, diagnostics, and telematics dashboards.
- Build models that continuously generate actionable insights from large-scale telematics and connected vehicle datasets.
- Utilize NLP, LLMs, and machine learning techniques to identify hidden patterns, trends, anomalies, and customer adoption behaviors.
- Analyze vehicle usage, feature adoption, product performance, and customer engagement data to identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Develop automated insight-generation capabilities that reduce reliance on manual dashboard monitoring and reporting.
- Partner with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex findings into business strategies.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to explain performance trends, customer behaviors, feature adoption rates, and product usage patterns.
- Deliver compelling data stories that drive actionable outcomes across dealer networks, marketing organizations, application teams, and leadership.
- Support data literacy initiatives and help business users leverage data-driven decision making.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards when working with sensitive automotive and customer information.

This role will be instrumental in building and enhancing next-generation dashboards that leverage AI to uncover hidden insights, automate analysis, and drive business decisions across product, marketing, dealer, and customer experience teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong storytelling abilities, transforming complex data into actionable business recommendations.
Given the sensitive nature of automotive telematics data, including vehicle and customer information, this individual must have experience working in secure, highly governed data environments., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist in enterprise-scale analytics environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics
- Statistical Modeling
- Experience uncovering hidden insights and translating findings into business recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and governance best practices.
- Automotive telematics experience is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
