Job description

HART Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled C++ developer to join our high-impact Tactical Systems team in Dahlgren, VA. Our work will be dedicated to design of high-stakes tactical systems where performance and reliability are critical to success. Why This Role?

  • Build mission-critical, low-latency Modern C++ software on Linux platforms.
  • Contribute to network-distributed, hardware-in-the-loop platforms for use in tactical systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy C++ applications for real-time tactical environments.
  • Implement network-synchronization layers for distributed systems.
  • Support the full software life-cycle from architecture design through onsite integration on platforms.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts to translate system requirements into reliable code.
  • Work with a robust multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware and software systems.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

  • 3+ years professional experience with modern C++ and the Standard Library (ie. maps, threading, iterators, etc).
  • Linux development proficiency (kernel, build systems, debugging).
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Desired Skills

  • Experience building software for networked or embedded environments.
  • Ability to work with Python, Lua, or other scripting languages as needed.
  • Experience with tactical control systems or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Jira & Git.
  • Active DoD clearance is a plus.
