Experteer Overview In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will design and deliver cloud-native solutions with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability across agile teams. You’ll collaborate with Product, Architecture, Platform/DevOps, and Security to raise engineering standards and drive production excellence. By leading hands-on development, you help shape technology strategy and ensure robust operations in a cloud-first environment. This role offers meaningful work within Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Business Technology Office, shaping solutions for internal and cross-divisional needs. Compensation / Benefits * Architect and design scalable, cloud-native software solutions (AWS and other clouds) * Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, and performance * Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge technologies to deliver business value * Collaborate with Platform Teams to influence infrastructure, tooling, and development workflows * Own the full SDLC from requirements through deployment and monitoring * Evaluate and recommend appropriate languages, frameworks, and tools for each project * Contribute to technical strategy and participate in roadmap planning Tasks * 5-8+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade software * Distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native patterns * Cloud familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation/CDK) * Experience in testing strategies and code reviews * CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code * Collaboration with DevOps/Platform teams * Experience across backend to data stores with some frontend exposure * Strong CS fundamentals and data structures * Security-aware with secure coding practices * Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration * Agile, cross-functional team experience Key requirements * competitive compensation * market-leading benefit programs
