Mid Software Engineer

We are seeking a Mid Software Engineer to contribute to the development of a next-generation geospatial content production and workflow management platform. This platform supports high-volume global operations that combine manual processes, AI-assisted workflows, and automation to produce high-resolution imagery, 3D measurement data, and machine-learning-derived geospatial products at scale. In this role, you will help design and build backend services, workflow orchestration systems, operational tooling, and platform capabilities that enable scalable content production and process optimization. You will collaborate closely with technical leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions., Product-Focused Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support end-to-end workflow execution and operational management.
• Contribute to scalable workflow orchestration and processing systems used in high-volume production environments.
• Support and enhance existing processing and measurement pipelines, including performance-critical services.
• Build reliable cloud-native applications and distributed systems that support platform scalability and operational efficiency.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability across platform services.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions focused on maintainability, resilience, and long-term scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple services and processing layers.
• Drive engineering quality through comprehensive testing, code reviews, documentation, and operational best practices.

Collaboration & Delivery Work closely with Product, Architecture, QA, CloudOps, and Engineering teams to deliver cohesive platform solutions. * Participate actively in code reviews and contribute constructive technical feedback.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and implementation considerations with engineering leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple geographic regions and time zones.

The ideal candidate is a strong backend-focused engineer who enjoys solving complex platform challenges, building scalable distributed systems, and contributing to products that operate at significant scale. Experience with geospatial platforms is beneficial but not required. Success in this role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative and globally distributed engineering organization., * Intermediate to Advanced English communication skills.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing backend systems and APIs in cloud-based environments.
• Proficiency in Go and Python.
• Familiarity with React and modern JavaScript development.
• Experience designing and building workflow-driven systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience developing scalable distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern cloud deployment practices.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and system troubleshooting skills.
• Experience participating in software architecture and technical design discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, maintainable, and production-ready software solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience building workflow orchestration, job processing, or automation platforms.
• Exposure to high-throughput, high-concurrency, or large-scale distributed service architectures.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows.
• Experience supporting operational, production, or process-management platforms.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and production readiness practices.
• Experience collaborating within globally distributed engineering organizations.
• Exposure to geospatial technologies, aerial imagery, computer vision, mapping platforms, or related domains.
