Job description
Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP/ERP Project Manager to lead the implementation of an enterprise AI-driven Procurement Card (P-Card) monitoring solution for a State government client. This individual will oversee all phases of project delivery, from planning and pilot implementation through statewide deployment, ensuring successful integration with existing ERP, financial, procurement, and travel & expense systems., · Lead end-to-end implementation of an AI-powered Procurement Card (P-Card) monitoring solution supporting a statewide pilot and enterprise deployment. · Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and implementation roadmaps. · Manage pilot implementation across multiple State Agencies and Institutions of Higher Education, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and success criteria are achieved. · Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business, finance, procurement, audit, information technology, security, data analytics, vendors, and executive leadership. · Establish project governance, steering committee reporting, risk management processes, issue resolution, and executive communications. · Collaborate with State stakeholders to define business requirements, success metrics, and implementation strategy. · Oversee systems integration activities with ERP, financial, procurement, banking, identity management, and reporting platforms. · Manage vendor deliverables, contract performance, project milestones, and acceptance criteria. · Coordinate system configuration, testing, defect management, user acceptance testing (UAT), production readiness, and deployment activities. · Lead organizational change management efforts including communications, stakeholder engagement, training coordination, and user adoption. · Ensure project compliance with State procurement policies, security requirements, audit standards, and financial controls. · Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, status reports, and executive-level presentations. · Facilitate lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and transition to operations following implementation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses strong public sector ERP project management experience, preferably supporting SAP or other enterprise financial systems, and has exposure to Travel & Expense, procurement, P-Card, or financial compliance processes. Experience leading complex technology implementations involving multiple stakeholders, systems integration, governance, vendor management, and organizational change management is essential. Experience managing SAP S/4HANA or ECC implementations, ERP modernization initiatives, or large-scale financial system transformations within state or federal government environments is highly desirable., · 8+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise software implementations. · 5+ years managing SAP, ERP, financial systems, or digital transformation projects. · Experience managing projects within State or Federal Government organizations. · Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional implementation teams. · Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and multiple stakeholder groups. · Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies. · Strong understanding of SDLC, project governance, risk management, budgeting, and change management. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience leading SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or other enterprise ERP implementations. · Experience supporting public sector financial systems, procurement, grants, purchasing, accounts payable, or enterprise financial management. · Experience with AI-enabled business solutions, analytics platforms, fraud detection, or compliance monitoring. · Experience working with procurement card (P-Card) programs or purchasing card management. · Experience supporting State procurement modernization initiatives. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
