Job description

Experteer Overview Join Nielsen’s Custom Media Analytics Delivery as a creator of new measurement products. You’ll fuse Nielsen datasets across TV, streaming, audio, and digital to deliver usable client solutions, build models tailored to complex questions, and automate repeatable data workflows. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate needs into solid analytical plans while applying AI tools to accelerate delivery. Your work helps power a better media future through rigorous methods and clear documentation. Compensation / Benefits * Design and build new measurement products by integrating datasets across TV, Streaming, Audio, and Digital * Develop statistical and machine learning models aligned with Nielsen methodologies * Write production-grade SQL, Python, and PySpark for data extraction, transformation, and modeling * Create reusable ETL pipelines and workflows to deliver repeatable solutions * Apply AI tools to validate models, speed up development, and stress-test logic * Translate stakeholder requests into well-scoped analytical problems with clear methodology * Collaborate with Research, Commercial Sales, and Client Insights; communicate complex model decisions clearly Tasks * 3+ years working directly with Nielsen datasets (TAM, DAR/N1Ads, DCR, Audio, or similar) and knowledge of weighting, projection, and audience estimation * Ability to merge and reconcile multiple Nielsen data sources and navigate differences in sampling and reporting conventions * Strong foundation in media research covering Television and Digital in the US * Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field * 5+ years in data science or analytical research delivering production-grade models * Strong grounding in statistical modeling, weighting, and survey-based projections; ML techniques where appropriate * Expert-level Python and SQL; strong PySpark for cloud big data work (AWS preferred) * Experience with Databricks, Airflow, and cloud data warehousing concepts (Redshift, S3) * Active AI fluency: daily use of AI tools for code, model validation, and workflow acceleration * Ability to explain methodology to non-technical stakeholders and maintain thorough documentation * Proficiency with Tableau, Spotfire, or equivalent visualization tools Key requirements * health and wellness plans * 401(k) with company match * generous paid time off * potential for company-provided vehicle * discretionary incentive/bonus eligibility
