Job description

Experteer Overview As a Firmware Engineer you will lead embedded firmware development for advanced hardware systems. You will architect and deliver scalable firmware while mentoring teammates and standardizing engineering practices. You collaborate closely with hardware, product, and manufacturing teams across the full product lifecycle to turn concepts into production. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, debugging complex issues, and driving releases. This is a chance to shape firmware architectures in a cross-functional environment and impact high-performance hardware solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Lead development of embedded firmware for advanced hardware systems * Architect and implement scalable, high-performance firmware solutions * Drive full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, and release) * Develop and optimize low-level drivers for hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, GPIO, sensors, etc.) * Partner with hardware engineers to define and refine system architecture * Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical evaluations * Troubleshoot and resolve complex firmware and system-level issues * Support manufacturing, field applications, and sustaining engineering efforts * Establish and improve firmware development processes and standards * Mentor and guide junior engineers Tasks * Bachelor in Electrical Engineering * 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development * Strong proficiency in C/C++ (including bare-metal programming) * Experience writing low-level drivers and working directly with hardware components * Proven track record of successfully releasing products to market * Experience with version control and issue tracking tools (Git, GitLab, etc.) * Strong debugging and analytical skills * Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and product teams * Excellent communication and leadership skills Key requirements * Competitive Salary * Medical Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision Insurance * Disability Insurance * Life Insurance 401k Paid Time Off Paid Holidays
