Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
  • Build and optimize GraphQL-based data access layers and integrations.
  • Develop and optimize data models, queries, and workloads in Google BigQuery.
  • Implement large-scale data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and Spark.
  • Utilize Starburst, Trino, or Presto for distributed query processing and analytics.
  • Orchestrate and monitor data workflows using Airflow, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or similar tools.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data platforms.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize data pipelines for scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced ETL Data Engineer with GraphQL expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Google BigQuery, ETL/ELT development, GraphQL APIs, distributed query engines such as Starburst/Trino/Presto, and modern data processing frameworks. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, data governance, and cloud-based data platforms., * Years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, or related roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning, and cost management.
  • Experience developing and consuming GraphQL APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark-based processing frameworks.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development and large-scale data processing.
  • Experience with Starburst, Trino, or Presto for distributed query processing.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance.
  • Experience working in cloud-based data environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GCP services beyond BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DataOps practices.
  • Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
  • Exposure to real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
