Job description

Blu Omega is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to support a federal program in designing, developing, and maintaining modern mobile applications that enhance the experience. This role operates remotely and is responsible for creating secure, high-quality native mobile applications for iOS and Android while collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions. The position requires experience supporting mobile development within a mission-driven environment., * Design, develop, test, and maintain native mobile applications for iOS and Android using modern frameworks and best practices.

  • Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing mobile user interfaces utilizing SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack Compose, and Android SDK technologies.
  • Develop reusable modules and manage application dependencies using tools such as Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, Gradle, and Kotlin DSL.
  • Integrate mobile applications with enterprise APIs, backend services, embedded databases, and structured data formats.
  • Create and maintain Python scripts to support application automation, data processing, and workflows.
  • Integrate third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, authentication, location services, push notifications, and real-time communications.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, QA engineers, and backend developers throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Support mobile application deployment, release management, and app store submission processes.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control practices to enhance software quality and delivery., We partner with government agencies and large integrators to provide expertise in cybersecurity operations, cloud and infrastructure modernization, data and analytics, and enterprise IT support. Our teams are experienced operating within federal contracting environments, supporting task orders, recompetes, and programs requiring cleared personnel and compliant delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing native mobile applications for iOS and Android.
  • Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and related libraries.
  • Experience managing application dependencies using Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, Gradle, Kotlin DSL, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with SQLite and structured data formats within mobile applications.
  • Experience integrating third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, authentication, location services, push notifications, or real-time communications.
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus, or similar version control platforms.
  • Knowledge of mobile application release management, app review processes, and deployment workflows.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines supporting mobile application development.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field., * Experience supporting mobile applications for federal agencies.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with secure enterprise APIs and backend microservices.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG.
  • Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks and mobile DevSecOps practices.
  • Support experience for cloud-native mobile applications within AWS or Azure environments.
  • Active or previous VA Public Trust, PIV, or other federal credentials.

Benefits & conditions

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 per year Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
