Software Engineer

Client is currently seeking candidates for a full-time position as a Software Engineer. This position will provide support at a client facility in the Chantilly, VA area., Collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical information from multiple sources to drive client missions and quick-turn tasks in fast-paced environments. Aid in the design and implementation of machine learning and data engineering techniques for application to advanced client missions in science and technology (S&T) fields. C/C++ development that supports critical customer missions Applying concepts from newer compiled languages such as Go, or Rust to embedded development. Developing for real time operating systems (RTOS) and interesting embedded systems. Applying understanding of software development to the analysis of compiled custom operating systems by learning reverse engineering principles. Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment while working independently and leading tasks on time and on budget. Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of tailored software applications to provide advanced solutions supporting diverse business areas. Provide data analysis and modeling to include the physical and logical design of databases Support the design and delivery of reports, stored procedures and queries to meet project requirements Translate user-requirements into concepts for information system solutions to be implemented by functional teams Contribute to and participate in testing of delivered software solutions

Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or related field with (3+) years of experience, or master’s degree in related field with (1+) year of experience, or Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. Experience in full-stack software development with significant programming experience in C#, C++, and/or Java. Professional development experience using JavaScript or one of its derivatives. Experience in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database technology. Ability to learn and understand new programing languages, design patterns, operating systems, and deployment environments (i.e. Azure, AWS, and physical hardware). Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence communities. Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
