Job description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Software Engineer with flexibility for part-time arrangements depending on candidate fit. In this role, you will build the core infrastructure and application layer of our platform, designing and developing scalable systems that power data ingestion, integration, and delivery of actionable insights within clinical workflows. You will work closely with machine learning, product, and design teams to ensure that intelligent outputs are seamlessly integrated into user-facing experiences. This role includes building APIs, developing backend services, managing data pipelines, and creating secure, reliable systems that support real-time healthcare applications. This is a unique opportunity to join at the earliest stage of the company, shape the technical foundation of the platform, and directly influence product, technology, and company strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, and system design
  • Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
  • Familiarity with modern web frameworks and full-stack development
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
  • Experience developing or integrating AI/ML applications, including working with large language models (LLMs), AI APIs, or machine learning frameworks, is preferred
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or AI-powered application development is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with healthcare systems, interoperability standards, or data integration is a plus
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, security best practices, and HIPAA-compliant application development is advantageous
